
This recipe is so simple and adds perfection to any Whole 30 vegetable or meat dish. It satisfy that craving for creaminess. I like to add it to my Whole 30 lasagna recipe. Keeps in the fridge for over a week.
Vegan “Cheese” Sauce
Makes 2 cups
1 1/2 cups raw cashews*
1 cup additive free chicken broth*
1 cup Califia Farms Unsweetened Almond Milk*
1/2 cup nutritional yeast
2 teaspoons garlic powder
2 pinches nutmeg
1 teaspoon celery salt
1 teaspoon mustard powder
1 teaspoon salt
*The night before: combine cashews, chicken broth and almond milk. Soak in the refrigerator (covered).
The day of: Combine cashew-liquid mixture with remaining ingredients in a blender. Blend at high speed until thick and creamy. Once blended, taste and add salt if needed. Enjoy!
